The number of people aged 15-24 without a job has jumped to 16% - nearly one in five.

It comes as businesses continue to face tough economic times - with many businesses not wanting to take a risk on a young person.

To talk about the figures, economist and Infometrics chief executive Brad Olsen joined Nick Mills to discuss the news.
