Wellington's Beervana fills Hnry Stadium this week, bringing some of the country’s best beer under one roof.

65 breweries will provide festival goers with all sorts of options from wacky to wonderful. 

There will be international and local stands, non-alcoholic beers, "Fruju” inspired sours and even beer you can lick!

Nick Mills talks to Beervana director Ryan McArthur on what to look forward to for their 25th year.

Labour Leader Chris Hipkins joined Nick Mills in the studio this morning for his monthly chat but was threatened by a man on the way to the interview.

Hipkins recounted the incident to Mills. 

"We went onto the waterfront he clearly got out of his car and came and told me he was going to throw me into the harbour and as I walked away from him said he was going to kill me."

Hipkins said events like this happened “from time to time”.

They then discussed the big political news of the week, including rates caps, the social media ban and Labour's fiscal plan. 

Plus, what would the Wellington amalgamation look like if Hipkins could choose?
