Boorloo Perth's Indigenous community has been shaken this week after a homemade bomb was thrown into the city's Invasion Day rally.

Police have described it as a fragment bomb designed to injure or kill people, but it didn't go off.

Investigations into the attempted bombing surprised many when it initially wasn't treated as a potential terrorist act.

Other stories this week include:

  • A call for more Aboriginal-led family violence support services following the death of a pregnant Indigenous woman in Lake Cargelligo.
  • Dozens of countries urge Australia to raise the age of criminal responsibility, while others want the Albanese government to legislate the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.
  •  And, an Indigenous-led gathering in Aotearoa New Zealand is focussing on protecting the Pacific Ocean.

This week's episode is hosted by Harrison Pedersen.
