A new report released this week has highlighted the need for national leadership on youth justice policies.

It shows inconsistencies in the way each state and territory approach youth crime laws.

Advocates are now calling for a national youth justice standard that is in line with human rights obligations.

Other Highlights:

  • Four Indigenous tenants have taken on the Northern Territory government in the High Court and won.
  • Archaeologists have uncovered a large bundle of Aboriginal stone tools in Boulia in western Queensland.
  • The stories of local heroes in the Torres Strait will be told through short films being produced by aspiring film makers from Thursday Island.

This week's episode is presented by Adam Evans.
