Auckland FC are aiming to continue their derby dominance. 

They’re heading south to face the Wellington Phoenix in their sixth clash – the scoreboard weighted entirely their way.

Auckland FC scored very early in the earlier derbies this season, and midfielder Louis Verstraete told Piney you can’t underestimate the blow it does to the other team if you score early.

He says it puts them on the back foot and you on the front, which is especially important for derbies.
