The length of the NRL season has been the topic of debate lately. 

The season runs seven months from the first week of March until the first week of September, and questions have arisen as to how much it impacts players’ ability to play International Rugby League.  

Piney caught up with NZRL CEO Greg Peters for a chat about how we go about getting more of the international game.  

“If you really want to return out of the international game, you've got to give it clear space with the top players available, and a decent window to really monetize it and make it appeal to the hearts and minds of fans around the world.”
