Tonight’s NZ derby has sparked some memories for a former Wellington Phoenix player.  

Former attacker David Williams only spent one season in Wellington, but he quickly became a fan favourite in the 2018-2019 season.  

He most recently played for Perth Glory and now is looking for his next opportunity. 

He joined Piney on the show to chat about where his career has taken him since his Wellington days and to reflect on his time in the capital. 

“It’s one of those journeys that I’ve really, really enjoyed. And to this day, my wife and I still speak about my time in Wellington.”
