The Hurricanes are still waiting on the official word but don't expect to have halfback Cam Roigard back in a hurry.

The in-form number nine was felled in the second half of the win over the Highlanders in Dunedin with a knee injury.

Assistant coach Cory Jane says it's clearly not a matter of 'if', but 'how long' Roigard will be sidelined for.
