A record-breaking batting effort hasn't been enough to prevent a fourth straight defeat for New Zealand at the Cricket World Cup in India.

The Black Caps have posted 401 for 6- but suffered a 21-run loss to Pakistan via the Duckworth-Lewis method.

New Zealand will still qualify for the semifinals if they beat Sri Lanka on Thursday.
