Fiona Burton had a pretty impressive resume while she was working in the UK - teaching students the art of creating pastries and cakes while creating her own confections for customers as well.

But one phone call, several security checks, and a few months later - she found herself preparing scones for the Queen as the royal family's patisserie chef.

Fiona has since relocated to Mandurah to set up her own Patisserie and confectionery business - Fiona's Fancies - and shared with Weekends what it's like to work for the Royal family and why the change of pace.
