Readers Corner – We review ‘Fern and the Truth’, an eventful story about a girl who’s on a journey of reflecting on her relationship with the truth.

About the author: Therešo Nolwazi Tlaka is a 10-year-old author, who launched her first book, titled Fern and the Truth, in September 2024. She is a hardworking grade 4 learner, who was recently awarded as item winner for the Pretoria Drama Eisteddfodd monologue and duologue categories. She also holds certificates of high distinction for grade 3 Mathematics and English for the International Benchmark Tests. She enjoys playing marimbas and the violin, acting, as well as cuddling up with a good book.
