Greg and Phil talk with Cornelius W. Queen, Senior Vice President of the Egyptian-American Enterprise Fund and co-author of A Daring Enterprise: A US-Egyptian Partnership and the Case for Soft Power, about his extensive background in international affairs and the experiences that led him to his career in economic development and public diplomacy. He discusses his book, which explores how American investment has helped support Egyptian businesses, create jobs and strengthen economic ties between the two countries.

He also previews tonight's Peoria Area World Affairs Council event, happening Thursday, October 8 at 7 p.m. at Illinois Central College's North Campus. The discussion will explore the Egyptian-American partnership and how private investment can create economic opportunities, encourage stability and serve as a tool for American engagement around the world. He also discusses the importance of furthering international understanding, the work of the Egyptian-American Enterprise Fund, promising investment opportunities in Egypt, and how the country's mixed economy and growing private sector are shaping its economic future.
