Have you heard about the Thomas Dambo Trolls? Louise Bishop, President and CEO of the South County Tourism Council has, and she wants you to come to Rhode Island to find Erik Rock and Greta Granite! Renowned Danish artist, Thomas Dambo, and his giant Troll sculptures have emerged from the woods of Ninigret Park in South County, Rhode Island to greet you, but first you have to find them. Dambo is internationally known artist for his beautiful, larger-than-life Trolls made from recycled wood with a "get back to nature" message. Dambo and his Trolls have an international following, and RI has become part of the Troll Trail. Listen as Louise explains how getting stuck in an airport led to her mission to bring Dambo to RI. She also describes how each troll is fashioned with materials specific to the area or "of RI". So, what else but shells would do for Greta's make-up? She also has a message for travelers, "come, stay and see RI", after all, you can get from one end of the state to the other in less than an hour.
