In December 2019, Rosemary was exhausted and unable to focus on her schoolwork or activities. She fainted 3 times, both at school and at home. She didn't have enough energy to make it down the stairs from her room on the 2nd floor. She had a high fever, so she went to see her pediatrician, who thought it was some sort of virus
Her fever wouldn't go down and she started seeing dots in her vision. She also
developed unusually pale skin. Her pediatrician sent her to the hospital, where they did blood tests that revealed a diagnosis of acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL).
Rosemary's treatment has included chemotherapy, radiation and a bone marrow
transplant from her brother, Kosei. In her spare time, she enjoys drawing and baking.
The family is so grateful to the Jimmy Fund Clinic and they consider them superheroes
for the wonderful care and work that they do.
