11 year old Teddy Cahalane joins the show along with his parents Caroline and Tim
Teddy was diagnosed with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia in 2021 after experiencing fatigue, lack of energy, and weight loss. After his diagnosis, he had two years of treatment that included chemotherapy infusions, lumbar punctures and intrathecal chemo, and oral chemotherapy. He went into remission about five weeks after his diagnosis and inpatient treatment.
The thing that makes Dana-Farber special for Teddy and his family are the people, nurses, other children and families. They are especially grateful for Robin Griffey, a Jimmy Fund nurse who retired this fall after 30 years.
Teddy will be entering sixth grade this fall. He spends lots of time with his brothers and cousins. He also loves sports, especially golf, lacrosse, and ice hockey (Boston Bruins).
