It's remembered as one of the largest fires in Minneapolis' history. On Thanksgiving Day, 1982, flames erupted from the vacant Donaldson's store in downtown Minneapolis. It spread quickly and eventually engulfed an entire block between Marquette and Nicollet Avenues.
It's another of WCCO's 100 memorable days in 100 years.
