SA: In Eastchester, a new twist for an old fundraiser. A different kind of walkathon
TN: It's people and dogs. It's mainly for dogs
SA: Eleven year old Tessa Nordone put together this doggie walkathon at the Anne Hutchinson School
TN: I came up with this idea because I think all dogs deserve a home and this is a good charity idea for raising money for dog shelters
SA: As you can tell, Tessa loves animals
TN: Well I love them because they're so cute, they're like man's best friend
SA: What does a dog provide us
TN: It comforts you and it like knows when you're sad
SA: There was a red carpet for the dogs, obstacle courses, water stations. Tessa was inspired by a children's book about a sweet little lamb named Loukoumi
TN: Loukoumi is all about good deeds and you're not doing it for yourself, you're doing it for other people
SA: Loukoumi author Nick Katsoris started the Make a Difference Foundation
NC: This is one of the best ideas I've ever hear and you know we can't support Tessa enough and all the kids that do these great good deed projects
SA: Tessa's mom Katy Nordone says the lesson is
KN: Dream big, keep dreaming, dream big and you can do it
SA: What's next for Tessa?
TN: Probably something about sea creatures next like help the ocean
