The minor league baseball team the Staten Island Ferry Hawks hosted a watch party for the eclipse, drawing a large crowd. It's a great example of an event that goes well beyond baseball, leveraging the ballpark into a yearlong entertainment venue.

While the Ferry Hawks draw  many die-hard fans, many others are families and those in search that stretches way beyond the play on the field. General Manager Gary Perone has a season planned that's filled with creative promotions. Listen to what he says about the ballpark. 

"I think that if you have not been to that Staten Island Ballpark, you're going to see something magical. It's a one of a kind view. No one has this view other than this venue. you have a beautiful backdrop of New York City. Around the ballpark too, you have these great restaurants."
