RW: This past week the city's Small Business Services commissioner Dynishal Gross announced that the agency would be awarding $4 million in grants to business improvement districts and other community based organizations to further strengthen our retail corridors across the 5 boroughs.
DG: We want to improve the street level experience of New Yorkers in neighborhoods across the city. We want the commercial districts to be a place where the business owners can thrive. Where their customers feel welcomed and that are inviting for both residents and tourists to experience the cultures of these neighborhoods.
RW: This investment builds upon the proven tract record that the city's business improvement districts have in making our neighborhoods cleaner, safer, and more inviting.
