Last year, an episode of NPR’s Consider This explored the origins of Critical Race Theory. This week, we are going to hear from Indiana University Law Professor Kevin Brown, exploring his experience as one of the 25 law professors who met at the first CRT workshop in Madison, Wisconsin, during the summer of 1989. The full title of his presentation is “Critical Race Theory Explained by an Original Participant.”

Special thanks to Purdue University Fort Wayne for organizing this program. Our music is by Mark Waldick, Noah Campodonico, Kurt Roembke, and Hope Arthur. Our web producer is Loyal Vandenburg. Our production assistants are Monica Blankenship, Steve Mullaney, Kyle Norbeck, Diahmynd Thomas, Mikaela Veltum, and Sydney Wagner.
