The Open Line Legacy continues after the loss of the show’s founder Bob Slade on March 23rd of 2019.  From it’s beginnings in the early 1980’s on WRKS-FM, Open Line has continued to inform, inspire, educate and call to action, citizens of the Greater NYC Community and beyond.

On this week's episode - David Banks, the 31st NYC Public Schools Chancellor, and Dr. Shango Banks, the President of BE-U talk about the Black Studies Curriculum, then Governor Kathy Hochul calls in to discuss the National Guard being deployed in NYC (minute 14) alongside Janno Lieber who is the CEO of the MTA. Then Jumaane Williams, the NYC Public Advocate calls in! All that plus callers from all over New York!
