Every year in our cold time we see mob from down south pass through this region on some big trip. The arrival of Covid saw even more WA travellers on the road in their home state because they'd usually go over seas at this time. 

David and Cynthia Batey live in Perth. Over the last six years they've roadtripped from Perth to Darwin during the colder part of the year. Spending three months on the road with a long stay in Darwin
