In hour two of The VSiN Morning Line hosts Grace Remington, Harrison Sanford and Michael Lombardi start the hour with News or Noise. Plus the prop shop for TNF as the host give their picks for TNF. Former NFL Head Coach and current ESPN analyst Herm Edwards goes one on one with Michael Lombardi.

This is the v SEND Morning Line on v SIN, the Sports Betty Network.

Good morning, everybody, and the beginning a new NFL week Right here on the v SIN Morning Line, Harrison Sanford, Grace Redmonton, and Michael Lombardi joining you to break down Thursday Night Football and the rest of the weekend of football on the College Football and NFL SLATON. We'll get started with Thursday Night Football for a quick moment before we get to news or noise in this opening segment, Michael Real.

Quick Dallas Cowboys.

They are favorites tonight, a big time game for them in terms of how they looked in their last game, an absolute embarrassing losser at least for the majority of the game against the Baltimore Ravens. How do you see tonight shaping out against the divisional foe in the New York Giants.

Well, I think the Cowboys have to start fast, right. They've got to force the Giants to play from behind, forced Daniel Jones to not rely on a running game, forced Daniel Jones to have to have a drop back pass game, force this giant offensive line to have to pass protect against a front that really can rush the passer. But can't really play the run. This game is about the first quarter. To me, the Cowboys have to win that quarter. They've got to come out, throw in the football, protect and take advantage of a really bad secondary of the New York Football Giants. If they don't do that, then this becomes a closer game than you want. Now. Look, the Cowboys are great in the field goal department. Aubrey's fifteen for fifteen. He can make them from pretty much anywhere on the field. But I don't think the Cowboys after dominating the Giants, they're one and eight the last nine games. They're eight to one against the Giants the last nine games. I don't think they want to play this as a back and forth game. I think they want to play from in front and take control of the game. Harrison, So I think that's the key.

You mentioned Brandon Aubrey, and he's actually somebody we're going to feature in the prop shot that's coming on later on in this hour.

Also in this hour at the VS in Morning Line, you're.

Going to do an offer you can't refuse or bet that is doomed to lose. And we also have Herm Edwards joining the show to break down the matchup between the Cowboys and the New York Giants, and yes, the Prop Shop and Anytime Touchdown Market will be breaking that down as well. But let's get to some other items in the NFL. One of our favorite segments, it's called news or noise?

Is it news cos or just noise?

What are you gonna act like this is news?

Let's separate the impactful from the insignificant with one simple question, news or noise?

All Right, We're gonna.

Start with the Buffalo bill quarterback Josh Allen, who is right now the MVP favorite, and part of the reason why he is is how he was able to distribute the ball on Monday Night against the Jacksonville Jaguars, finding a multiple players and not necessarily focusing just on one. And this is what he said after that Monday night football blowout win against the Jacksonville Jaguars. It's fun and a wonderful thing to have guys who don't care about stats. Now, obviously, with Stefan Diggs leaving the freight in Buffalo, it kind of felt like it was pointed towards him, but he did clarify his statements saying that he loved he I love quote unquote, I love fourteen I still do.

Is this news or noise for you?

Michael Josh Allen's original comments and then the clarification after.

Well, I think it's news because I think the Buffalo Bills are a team that don't care about stats. Let's just take a look at the Houston Texans. I mean, look, they've targeted Stefan Digs twenty four times. He's second in the team in targets. He's got twenty catches for eight point two yards per catch. His long catch is ten yards. I mean, like the guy doesn't make any plays, you're feeding him the ball. The guy who's losing out are Dalton Schultzen, tankd Dell, two of their better players. And so look, if you don't get the ball to Dicks, he's going to complain. But the rewards of getting the ball, the things aren't great. We see that with Buffalo. See we get so caught up in names, name appeal. Oh my goshday he's a number one What number one receiver averages eight point two yards per catch. I'll wait for that answer because there isn't any So to me, this is news because what Allen said, he may love him as a brother of Stefan Diggs. But it hurts your offense when you have selfish players who want the ball but aren't ball worthy.

Yeah, that's definitely something to be factored in there. I think we should really do an investigation on some of these high priced wide receivers out there in the marketplace and just how much winning they are actually impacting.

Maybe we'll get to that before the week closes.

All right, let's go to another team in the AFC, he said, this time the New York Jets, coming off of their win most recently, they are maybe proving some doubters wrong.

Aaron Rodgers says, hold the horses.

Struggle is going to be a handling success back in two thousand and six and Green Bay, and there's a lot to that. I think. You know, when it's easier when you're kind of getting kicked in the teeth to kind of come together. It's us against the world, it's us against the big bad media who's saying.

How bad we are.

You know, we can kind of come together, But can you still come together and have the same approach when everybody's kind of starting to sing your praises a little bit? I think that's the mark of a great team is can you handle the success part with the same focus, the same mentality, the same mindset, the same energy when you're starting to get on a little.

Bit of a role.

So that's the key to the NFL is when you win a game, the next game is the most important. When you win a game, you can't celebrate like the Raiders do and smoke cigars and think you've just conquered the world. The next game becomes your focus and concentration. Enjoy the plane ride home, enjoyed the trip back to the house, enjoy watching Sunday night football. Though, and you won, but Monday morning at six am, that thing's over. You got to get on to the next game, and you got to focus and have energy. I think Rogers is dead on bright I think Rogers wants that team to just forget about the accomplishments. Against New England on Thursday night, here comes to Denver Broncos, a team we're a seven point seven and a half point favorite in some Marcus, we've got to handle them, and if we turn this ball over, if we don't play our best, we're not good enough to beat anybody. That's obvious. The way the NFL is so to me, I think what he's saying is news, because I think that's the approach they have to take.

As it currently stands, majority of the betting public, or the public money rather yet is on the Denver Broncos to cover that spread seven and a half points right now on DraftKings against the New York Jets.

Sorry, one more NFL item and let's go again.

In the AFC East, obj Olddell Beckham, Junr. Is eligible to leave the pup list next week, and his head coach, Mike McDaniel says he has seen progress, news and noise.

Michael, this is just noise. I mean, look good. They can't get the ball to Tyreek Hill. What are they going to do with Odell Beckham? I mean, the guy has made a career on one catch. I mean there'll be idiots to think he belongs in the Hall of Fame. It's really ridiculous. Like at some point, the problem in Miami isn't that they need another receiver. They need to be able to block somebody. Their quarterback has a concussion, so the disc jockey down there needs to spin another record, but spin it with some offensive lineman, not with another receiver.

I might take issue with just one catch, but we got to get to college football here in this news and Noise segment. Maybe we'll tap back in on that one later. All Right, this one kind of controversial here. Grace Matthew Sluca's agent, the UNLV quarterback that left because of an unfulfilled one hundred K payment, said that the offer there was a verbal offer for that number from an assistant coach and it just did not come through. The quarterback's father, Bob Sluca, told ESPN that head coach Barry Odom later said in a phone call that the offer.

Wasn't because it didn't come from him.

News a Noise, Well it shouldn't be news, but unfortunately it is because the NCAA fell asleep at the wheel and did not regulate the nil market. That's going to be the answer to any type of situation we see here. Okay, now, given this exact story, everyone's in the wrong here. The family was stupid for accepting a verbal offer, The agent was stupider for accepting a verbal offer. But the biggest loser in this situation is Barry Odom, his coaching staff and UNLV because they are losing out on potentially millions of dollars three to zero on pace to make the playoffs. Now he has to turn around his whole offense in week five of the season, in the middle of the week. Not only that, it impacts his recruiting for future seasons. Just the exposure this team could have had, not from just making the playoff, but just being in the conversation nationally. The exposure could have made them millions of dollars. And you think Barry otom wants to get back to the Power five or Power four level. All of this impacts him and the school. Now, for the people calling this kid a quitter, you could say so if he were a homegrown talent who had been on the roster for two to three years. But he was one of three transfer quarterbacks who joined this program three months ago. He quite literally came to this school to be paid and has not received his paycheck. This kid isn't going pro right. He has a forty three point eight completion percentage, He's a running quarterback. This may be the only real money he sees. His family is standing on business and it's not the first time we've seen this. Derek King sat out at Houston Kelly Bryant sat out at Clemson. Jayden Reshada left Florida. Now his teammates are joining him too. UNLV running back Michael Allen joining the tra portal, USC linebacker Bear Alexander is jumping in the transfer portal. Week five is red shirt week, And if the DNC DOUBLEA doesn't start regulating these things, we're gonna see this activity more often.

Yeah.

I got no problem.

You laid out some great points there, Grace. I got no problem with the kids saying I'm out. You promised me some money and you didn't deliver. Ask anybody in America if they if they haven't agreement with somebody to get paid and they don't get paid.

After a not a month, a month and a half worse of work.

Yeah, this number two is so relatable relative to the million dollar deals we typically talk about. If your employer promised you a salary of one hundred thousand dollars a week a year, and you showed up to work for three months and saw three percent of it, would you say, no, one in the right mind.

I'm out of that. I'm up and out of it. I'm up and out of there. Don't blame them at all.

Go ahead and cash out, and in your right grace for Burrio on them.

This is not a good look.

If I was him, if I was the coach, I'd be like, you know what, maybe this didn't come from me. But the negative backlash of this, the negative reputation that my program is gonna get from not paying him out, it's worth a lot more other than the actual detriment of it.

You could get too. They can find somewhere in the university budget just to find one hundred k for one player.

Yeah, you gotta get this done. This is a bad look. It never ever, ever, ever should have gotten.

Public, but now it has and they're gonna, unfortunately have.

To pay for it.

I think we'll talk about this more in the show. But coming up next, it's time to get into the prop shop. Can the Dallas Cowboys stop the rookie sensation in Molik Neighbors? Much more on that that's coming up next on the VSA Morning Line.

You're watching the vs IN Morning Line right here on VSEND, the Sports Betting Network.

Welcome back into the vs IN Morning Line, where we are taking a look at Thursday night football from another and go, We're gonna look at some props now with the doors to the NFL prop shop now open, before we get into tonight, Harrison, can you kind of give us a recap on how your season's going so far, any bad beats, anything you've learned or you would change.

Yeah. I had a good little streak there.

I was eight and two in between last Thursday Night Football and then the following Monday Night Football, and then.

I got smashed this past Monday Night Football with the two last games, and.

I think it was because I was predicting a game script and the game script did not gamescript the way I thought it would, and that definitely ended up being something that was detrimental to my betting here.

So I think I'm going to try to.

Be as neutral with my game script prediction as much as possible and let those props hopefully pan out.

But I feel like I got to go back and do the overall numbers.

But I've been doing well as i've been tracking them, but recently, but you know how it goes, Grace, You're only as good as your last game, and the sting from last night Monday Night Football is covering me right now.

I'm consumed by it, so I gotta get right.

Yeah, Hey, this is a big bounce back spot for you. I believe in you. So let's get into the numbers here. The first one Giants running back Devin Singletary. His rushing receiving prop is the highest it's been all season, set at eighty two and a half at minus one fourteen. You go in under or over here.

I'm actually going over and this is the one I feel the most confident. And if you look at some of these Devin Singletary status you maybe you understand why Joe Shane was kind of okay with letting Saquon Barkley go right now, he leads running backs enforced mistackles per carry, he has top six and yards after contact. The Cowboys have allowed over two hundred yards after contact, one.

Of the worst in the NFL.

They've also allowed the second most receiving yards to running backs in the NFL, at just over fifty yards per game. And then if you look at Devin Singletary, his combined average of rushing and receiving yards per game is set at eighty five. This line is at eighty two and Grace, we talked about it, and I'll talk to Michael here.

I'm trying to.

Be as not reliable on the game script as much as possible, So rushing and receiving one way or another, he's going to get involved. I think if they do take out Moliite neighbors, he's just going to become more reliable or more of a source of receiving yards for this Giants offense. So all those things considered again, especially with the cowboys inability to tackle and his ability to force mistackles, I'm going to take the over here, Michael.

What do you think, Well, I think when you talk about the game script, there's really only one script the Giants can play with, right, I mean, if the Cowboys force them to play behind, then they lose their game script. But if the Cowboys are not playing from ahead and the Giants can keep the game close, Singletary scot run the ball. Daniel Jones has got to run the ball. They can't throw it sixty times to think they're going to beat the Cowboys, Daniel Jones will turn the ball over. So to me, if you think this is going to be a close game in the second half, then I think you go with Singletary on the rushing attempts. If you don't if you think the Cowboys win that first quarter, which I think they will, then I think this is going to be a harder script to fulfill.

Grace Devin Singletary has gone over this prop and this number in back to back weeks. Okay, let's stay on the giant side here with wide receiver Malik neighbors his receiving yards prop keeps going up especially after the way he doubled it against Washington. It now sits at seventy and a half at minus one P fifteen. Harrison under over.

Here, this is another one I'm curious about I have. I'm with a toss with this one to Michael. But I do think this one, again is another game script independent.

Play because one way or another, he's going to get the ball.

He leads the NFL and target share right now at over thirty five percent. He's going over his receiving yards prop in all three games. In all three games they've been trailing by a lot, they've been in a close game, and they've actually held the lead. So it doesn't really matter the game script. He's a part of the offense. He's quick, essential to this offense. So I would like to lean towards the over. But at a certain point here, at some point, Grace, at some point, Michael, they have to these teams have to know he is a primary source of the offense. And with the Cowboys having Trayvon Diggs, will it matter?

Will he be in that star coverage, that shadow coverage.

The Brown secondary is a very good secondary, or at least we thought, but they allowed him to get eight receptions for seventy eight yards and two touchdowns. So the usage rate Michael leads me to believe that Neighbors goes over this number. But it's also the usage rate and the obvious target share that he has. It makes me think, all right, Cowboys, take this guy out the game by any means necessary. So I'm undecided, even though I would lean towards the over Michael.

Well, I think, to me, this goes back into the Mike Zimmer category. What do you think of Mike Zimmer? Can Mike Zimmer take away the best player? And Mike Zimmer's a really good defensive coordinator. It doesn't look like it, but he has been one. And if he's looking at hist on Monday, if I stop singletary from Brunnin, if I stop Daniel Jones and the player, and if I take Neighbors and double him on every play and force someone else to beat me, I'm going to win the game. And so I think, to me, that's the approach you have to look at. If you're playing these props. You have to see that as an obvious situation where you've got to take him out of the game. And I think, to me, I lean towards the under here because I'm not going to let him beat me. Look, the guy's longest catch of the years twenty eight yards. He hasn't gone down the field very much. So if he has five catches for fifty yards, that's great. Who cares it's ten yards of catch. I think the under would be the one because I think Zimmer knows he's got to take him out of the game.

For what it's worth. This prop has gone over in the last three weeks. Obviously a lot goes into that, but maybe this is the week we see some adjustments going to the Cowboys side. Now, Cowboys wide receiver Brandon Cooks, his receiving prop at thirty five and a half is the lowest it's been in his last ten games. Harrison, you like the under or over here?

I like the under here.

Brandon Cooks is just not involved in this offense, or either he's not involved or he's just not good enough anymore. If you go back to even last week, six targets for sixteen yards against the Baltimore Ravens, and this is when.

The game script would be favoring the pass.

He's going under twenty yards in each of his last two games. And again look at the margins that they were trailing by against the Saints against the Ravens, and he's going under twenty yards.

I mean, that doesn't compute right for me.

So he must just not be good or just really not be involved in the offense. Then you also factor in that Jake Ferguson is getting more healthy for this Dallas Cowboys offense. He actually led the Dallas Cowboys and targets last week. We already seen Ceedee Lamb kind of upset about his target share. So I just don't think Brandon Cooks is gonna get involved. And if you believe Michael that the Cowboys are going to win, if you do want to predict the game script, well Brandon would it be involved that way either.

So I just don't see this one going.

I like this one to go to the under thirty five and a half receiving yards.

Yeah, I agree. I look, but the one thing you get in danger is that this giant secondary can't cover anybody, right, And so I think the one untold thing. Obviously Ceedee Lamb's going to get the ball, especially after he didn't get it last week, And so I think you're going to see him get the football and see him making some plays. But I think Tolbert's really been the number two receiver on the team. You know, he's got sixteen targets, He's made plays. Jake Person's been unhealthy, but I think to me, you're going to see that Ceedee Lambs had twenty four targets in three games, and we know last week he didn't really make enough plays. So I think you're going to see that happen more Grace, I think the ball's going to Lamb, and I think Tolbert is the second best option.

One more on the Cowboys side, Brandon Aubrey has quickly become the king of kicking in the NFL. His kicking points total set at seven and a half. Harrison which way you go.

In here, I'm not gonna bet this one, but I do think it's just interesting because Brandon Aubrey has been racking up the points, that is for sure. But Giants are top ten in red zone defense in terms of touchdowns allowed.

If you look at Brandon Aubrey's.

Averaging nine point seven kicking points in his last ten games, I would lean towards the over here. Again, if the Giants are stopping teams from scoring touchdowns.

That just means more field goals. And as we saw Michael, if he's within.

Sixty five yards, Mike McCarthy's gonna elect to kick it anyway.

Yeah, no doubt. I mean, look, the guy's great. I mean, when you have a weapon like this, why I turn down the points? Look? Green Bay leads the league in field goal attempts and their offense is outstanding. I mean, they're not turning down the points, and that's the key thing to do. Houston. The reason Houston's won two games is they're not turning down the points. Houston can't get the ball in the end zone, but they can kick field goals. I mean fair Barms made six out of seven to fifty yard kicks so far this year's got eighteen points outside of fifty. That helps your team tremendously. When you don't turn down points, it's really funny. You have a better chance to win the game.

Okay, we have about thirty seconds left here. I think we could squeeze it at anytime. Touchdown because we love a touchdown scorer. Harrison, who's your favorite tonight?

I gotta go with Ceedee Lamb.

When a wide receiver, a star wide receiver says they.

Want the ball.

They want to take the onus on the team's poor play so far with that giant secondary.

The odds are not the best.

I wish it was more rewarding, but ceedee lamb. Anytime touchdown feels about right.

Yeah. I know our screen is showing minus one fifty five there, but I was just looking around. You can get him at minus one twenty at MGM, so I was gonna go chalk there too. No shame in that, all right? Coming up next, it's a guest you do not want to miss HERM Edwards joining the show with his thoughts on the young NFL season plus the look ahead two Week four. You're listening to the VCON Morning Line.

You're watching the VSON Morning Line right here on vs in the Sports Betting Network.

Welcome back to the VSON Morning Line. I'm Michael Lomari and proder to have HERM Edwards, ESPN analysts and former NFL head coach joined the show. Herm, thank you for being here with us and getting up so early. Appreciate you well.

Thank you, Mike, and I think you you know a long time person in the NFL. Well we're watching now. I try to calm the fans down, is that you're watching preseason games to count, basically because the veterans don't play anymore. And this is what it looks like first, you know, two or three weeks. I think it'll settle down here after week four and we'll start figuring out who's who. But there's some teams that already have kind of shown theirselfs to be pretty good obviously. The one that's kind of ironic is the Pittsburgh Steelers. You know, they were searching for a quarterback and they find theirself three and zero. And Mike, if I gave you this one night, you get a look at me and go, man, you know that ain't really happening. No, it really is happening in Pittsburgh Steelers. You know, as good as they are, and we know about their defense, they're only giving up about ten points a game. You wouldn't let football games doing that flast time. I check.

Yeah, well, you know, I mean, look, I don't know how anybody can discount Mike Tomlin. I mean, the guy is understands how to play complimentary football, offense, defense, kicking game. He's protected justin fields. I mean, I felt like yesterday when when he won't name Fields the starter, people feel like, well, that's an injustice to him. They should. What he's doing is he's protecting this young man who basically had all these expectations put on him in Chicago and they just let him out there to dry. I think Mike's doing the right thing by protecting this young man and not getting into the conversation are you going to sign him next year? How much are you going to pay him? And disrupting his team.

No, I think you make a correct statement, because you know the good thing about what Mike is doing is that right now, Justin Fields is the operator of the machine, and if he should struggle some he's got the veteran guy and Russell Wilson, and this might obviously, you know, due to his injury, might really have Russell Wilson's mindset. Are going, Hey, when I get back in there, I gotta, I gotta, I got a ball man, because this guy's really playing good.

Yeah, let's talk about tonight's game. Dallas run defense. You know, you and I both know Michael Milke Zimber's tough. He's really a good defensive coordinator. But they can't stop. They can't even get you the third down, which is Mike's specialty. Can Dallas turn this around based on what you've seen her.

Well, here's the problem with Dallas, Mike, and you know, you know this. This team is built to play with a lead. You know, they want to rush you, they want to cover you and take the ball away because they're not big inside. And so with that being said, when they play these games teas where then they don't have substantial leads where people have to throw the football, and now they've you know, the red flashing lighters, you can run the ball on them, and people obviously are doing that. I mean thirty you can't get me worse. There's thirty second against the run, you know, and twenty eight defensively, and so they've got to course some points to get people out of the mindset, Hey, we're going to run the ball on first down and we're gonna make five six yards and we're always going to be you know, second and three, second and four. That's a bad down for a defensive coordinator.

Yeah, no question. I think to me, when you watch their offense, you just wonder where they're going to get balanced in the run.

Game.

I mean it seems to me like they don't have a back that they can count on.

No, Mike, they're gont And you know, you've been in the league as long as I've been in league. I mean we're old timers. When's the last time that you said, who's the Dallas Cowboy running back? I mean, we can go back to Calvin Hill, we can go back to so Doors said, but we can just keep going back. And I mean they've always had a running back in hersonal Arm and they've always had backs Dwayne Thomas, I mean, are you kidding me? And when I said this, you know, when the all season happened, I said, who's their running back? The Dallas Cowboys always have a running back? I mean he's equally only had He's not the same guy was, you know, six seven years ago.

Yeah, no question. And let's slip it to the New York Giants. You talk about a team that really isn't the teams that you and I remember with Lawrence town in this great defensive unit. But you know, they found a way to win in Cleveland. What have you seen from the Giants in recent weeks to think that maybe they're not as bad as we might think they are.

Well, if Jones can continue to you know, throw the ball the neighbors, that's a pretty good combination. People can't cover im. But this giant team is interested in the sense that when you watch him play, you know, they're just they can't score, you know, they can't score any points. And all of a sudden, they get this kid Neighbors and guess what I mean the quarterback. Now, now, I don't know about you, Michael, but I don't know if he's the quarterback or the future. We're gonna find out here sooner than later. But you're right, this giant team has struggled, you know, offensively. And here's that part. I don't get this one. I really don't. I'm still shaking my head. You let your best player basically get in the taxi cab and go down to Philadelphia. Yeah, I mean, I mean, he's the best player of mine, he's the.

Best player on the Philly's team. Her he's the best player on Philly's team.

I agree.

I was gonna say that he's the best player in Philadelphia too. I'm like, you left the guy catch a cab and go to Philly, your division opponent, your division rivalry.

I mean, I don't get that one. I just don't don't. I don't understand that one.

Her I don't either. It's over two million dollars. Basically, you know, it's it's a player here or a player there. It's an allocation of money, is all it is. And you decided that because you drafted single Hurry at Buffalo Joe Shane, that you won him as opposed to wanting to deal with the Saquon contract. And to me, like, there's no identity in New York. Now, look, I know they won, but here's the things term. You know this as well as I do. That they in the fourth quarter, they got two first downs, they never converted a third down against Cleveland, had every opportunity to win that game. And yet what we've seen from Deshaun Watson, and I'd love to hear your thoughts on this is DeShawn couldn't make a throw. He was under sieged by the bad offensive line play, but he couldn't make a play in the passing game. And Cleveland's passing game has not existed right now.

Oh it's it's now existing. It's to say the least. I mean this poor guy, I mean, he you know what, three touchdowns and two interceptions. This is not the guy that they brought in and paid all this money for. I mean, it's just it's sad to watch now. You know, he brought some of this stuff on his on his on the self as well, you know, some of the things he did all the field. But this team is just struggling. And it's funny because I say that, and then Joe Flacco didn't have any problem moving the football team. Yeah, yeah, right now.

Sixteen hundred and sixteen yards in five games. That's what Flacco did, whereas DeShawn had eleven hundred and six games. I mean, so, but they fired the offensive coordinator because of the reason, because of Watson. And then he says that I'd love to hear comment on this. I'm not a running back. I don't run, Like, what was that about?

Yeah, you know, I think he's trying to look. He has to understand something. You're the quarterback. At the end of the day, the quarterback and the head coach are tied together, and when things don't go well offensively, they're gonna look at the quarterback and then they're gonna look at the head coach and for him to try to, you know, push it somewhere else. I mean, he's got it. He should just say, you know what, I got to play better. And here's a sad part. He hasn't all of a sudden in the last two or three years. He hasn't played a lot of foot you know. It's kind of one of those guys like I said, yeah, I said, this is the guy that they wanted from Houston, but he hasn't played a lot of football. So just say that. Just say, hey man, I'm rusty and I got to get better. Just say that and be a pro. Just say that. Just be a pro. Right.

Meanwhile, the pro in Kansas City, Patrick Mahomes, says, I haven't play good. We're three and zero and he's taken responsibility. Like to me, there's the vast difference. And he's right. I mean, Kansas City is fortunate to have won the last two games, actually the last three games. Frankly, Oh, I mean, they could easily play here or play there. They're all in three. And at least Mahomes, as the leader of the team, recognizes this.

Yeah, no doubt about that. You know, he's a stand up guy and he knows it. I mean, you look at his numbers. What he's got five test downs for interceptions. And here's the sad part, Mike, I was on TV about this, and they got to do something because that no call against the Falcons that was passing, that was blatant pass in appearance, and you can't call that. And people say, well, they well they got the ball again. I don't care about getting the ball again. That is a file. It's a file. It's a file. And for you to miss that one.

In the end though, I mean her no, Spagnola called time out and he's not allowed to do it. And they didn't even get they didn't get fined or nobody got caught for that. They didn't get called in the game, they didn't get fined for it. Like do they have separate rules? I mean, I hate to sound like the poor, you know, like everything's going in favor of Kansas, but I mean when stuff like this happens, you get the no call there and then you get the Spagnola costs time out and nobody says it. Now we've all forgotten about it, right, But you and I both know, having been the league and have calls going against us, that they admit is wrong. We don't forget that.

No, we don't forget it. And I was saying, hey, look what if this was in my playoff game? What if this was in the Super Bowl? Guys? Yeah? People say well, I was like, guys, you can't miss this one. This is one where some some other official needs to run up to that. Guys. Hey man, we need to get we need to get hold. We got to fix this because that was that was foul. We gotta call that, guys, you know. And then and then the sad part might the next series they call three penalties in a roll trying to make up for it.

It's unbelievable. Well, Herm, thank you for joining us today. We really appreciate it. We look forward to your commentary on ESPN and I hope you have a great day.

Thanks, thank you, my friend plculated.

Well, we come back to Vegas Morning Line with Grace Remington, Harrison Sandford and Michael Lobardi will continue.

You're watching the VSOND Morning Line right here on VSON, the Sports Betting Network.

Welcome back into the VSON Morning Line, where it is time to pad that bankroll with some plus money plays and some longer shot type plays. It's an offer you can't refuse, or a bet your doom to lose. So Harrison and I are going to pitch Michael some bets. Maybe we're backing them, maybe we're not, but just playing some devil's advocate here and Michael's gonna tell us what he thinks. So we're gonna start with the New York Giants money line against the Cowboys tonight. It is plus two ten, Michael. Honestly, my only path for a win here for the Giants is they just run the ball all over the Cowboys. And that's pretty much it. Yes, I.

Mean why not everybody else has done that, That's what they've done. I mean, look the Giant. Look, if this is a third down game, if the Cowboys can force Daniel Jones into thirteen or fourteen third downs, They're never going to win that, I mean, because Daniel Jones is not good on third down. I don't care if it's third and short, third and long, third and medium, and it doesn't matter. It's where Dallas has gotten into so much trouble is the fact that teams have been converting first downs to the two downs They played that Canadian football game, which is the best game to play if you're an offense, and so yeah, I mean I could see playing the money line. I don't think it's a dumb play because the Cowboys haven't proven to anybody that they're a superior team, not that the Giants are. The only thing I'll say is if it's closed. Remember just remember the Giants have scored nine points in three games in the second half.

Yeah, that is definitely a cost for concern if you want to take the Giants there on the money line. But I too, and maybe because I am a Giants fan, do have some level of optimism they could pull it out tonight, particularly with their ability to run the ball and maybe just one or two explosives when elite neighbors can really put the game into their favor. So not necessarily better than myself, but can see it happening. There's another one that I could potentially see happening, how the Cowboys have been playing so far.

Washington Commanders to win the NFC East. That's seven to.

One right now, and maybe that's thos become a bit shorter if the Cowboys lose tonight. Now, we do understand there's that other team in the division, the Philadelphia Eagles.

That you do have to be concerned about. With the way that Jayden Daniels has shown.

Improved so far, their ability to sustain drives and keep the ball out of opposing team's hands really could make up for some of their defensive woes.

Michael, So how about it.

No, not saying go crazy, but a little sprinkle on the Commanders to win the NFC East.

Yeah.

I mean, look, if you want to put some pizza money on it, go ahead. But the numbers that you're going against it, you know it's not good. I mean the time of possession by their opponent they rank thirty first. The mountain of plays their opponents runs per drive is thirty first. The amount of yards they give up per drive is thirty second. The amount of points they give up per drive is thirty second. They're twenty ninth in points allowed, They're twenty ninth in yards. They stink on defense. Now, they got away with it on Sunday on Monday night, but you can't be a winning team with that defense. You're just not good enough. They really aren't. It can't really rush. They got a break because of the offensive line of Cincinnati. But I don't have a lot of hope. We're getting carried away. We're letting one win influences down the road. Harrison, I don't see it.

You grace to you, Well, hey, it's not just one win, it's a two win string. That's a big deal.

Over You get that. I get that, but I mean if the Giants had a kicker, they probably don't win that. I get it, two and one, but I mean to me, it's like, are they the Bengals. Look, the Bengals have nobody to blame but themselves. They really don't.

No, I'm with you. If I put anything down, it would be pizza money. As you said, I do think this division will get interesting in the next few weeks because you look at who the Commanders have coming up Cardinals, Browns, Ravens, Panthers, Bears, Giant. I mean, they have some opportunities here to pad their schedule, whereas the Cowboys after the Giants have Pittsburgh, Detroit, San Francisco, Atlanta, Philly, Houston, Philly has Tampa, Cleveland, Giants, Cincy, Jacksonville, So theirs is a bit Dallas has the hardest schedule here, Washington has the easiest, So this division could go helter Skelterer for a little bit, but over the long run, the defense keeps them out of this. I think let's move ahead to the Jacksonville Jaguars against the Houston Texans this week. The Jags price plus two to twenty five on the money line right now, a six and a half point dog on the road. They're gathering just twenty five percent of the tickets but forty five percent of the money, so there is a little bit of big money coming in on them. Michael, do you see any case for the Jags win out right here?

You know, look, they did it before, right, and I think we have to kind of lower our evaluation of the Houston Texans. Look, they win that first, they win the first game of the season. They've made six kicks over fifty yards. They played, you know, they've played well and they found a way to win games. They got blown out of the building against Minnesota. They couldn't protect the CJ. Stroud. Do I think they'll be better, Yeah, but I think right now their offense is in this. You know, Stefan Diggs get me the ball type of mode, and Nico Collins and Tank Dell and Dalton Schultz are the three best players. I mean, digs should be the fourth option and he's got twenty four look sees, so Jacksonville has an opportunity. They're not going to play as bad as they did last week. Look, and the way the trend is in the National Football League, these big dogs have been covering, so I could say why not to this. I completely could see this isn't a waste to bed at all.

Yeah, big dogs covering, and then you also factor in the fact that these are divisional foes as well, so I could definitely see Jacksonville pulling this one off. And here's another one though that I'm surprised, Michael that this isn't more like a four to one five to one, But maybe it's just because of the state of where the NFL is. In the AFC, Miami Dolphins to make the playoffs at plus two twenty five. Now, obviously there's major concern about two a tongue of Valoa and his return to the field, and obviously that will influence these odds. But I think what also is influencing these odds, Michael, it's not a lot of good teams in the AFC. You look at the AFC West, whether it be the Broncos or the Raiders. You look at how some teams are underperforming, ie the Baltimore Ravens, Ie the Cincinnati Bengals, maybe there's a chance here, oh and all of them.

I don't.

I have to remind you too, the whole entire AFC South is underperforming.

I don't think it's.

Out there ramal possibility, even with the quarterback concerns. At the Miami Dolphins make the playoffs. Is at plus through twenty five right now?

Yeah, I mean, look, it all depends if they can get to a back, if they can win. You know, t is on for at least another three games counting this one, so if they can get him back, I think they certainly could get their groove going. And like you mentioned, there isn't a lot of great teams. I mean, since he they lose to Carolina, you can forget about them, right. We know Pittsburgh, I mean, nobody wanted to bet the Pittsburgh overtotal. They got three wins already, So you know, Indie struggling. I mean, we haven't we spent this whole show, haven't talked about Anthony Richardson's inability to complete a pass, which makes them a concern. So I do think by process of elimination, there's going to be a bad seventh seed in the AFC, just like last year Pittsburgh was the seventh seed. They were a bad team. I mean, making that as a seventh seed, are you really a playoff team? I mean two years ago the Giants were the seventh seed or they a playoff team. I know they beat Minnesota, but neither Minnesota or New York were playoff teams that year. I mean, Minnesota was the luckiest team in the league in terms of the luck ratings and all those things. How they won so many close games. You know, fumbled by Buffalo in the end zone won that game for him. So I think, to me, being a playoff team doesn't necessarily mean you're a good team, and that would qualify for Miami.

I want to look at kind of a longer shot money line here, the Patriots against the Niners. This is the first time it is Week four, by the way, guys, and first time all season we have seen a double digit spread. That just goes to show how tight this season has been. My pitch here, Michael is really just Gerardmeo came out with a good game, play in the first two weeks of the season. Forty nine ers are banged up. Is that good enough for an upset Well?

I think, Look, I think the one thing is that I and I don't have my forty nine ers in the top five teams in the power ranking. I don't think the forty nine ers are really good on defense, you know. I think the forty nine ers, because of the injury to Hardgrave, because of where they are their schemes rather simplistic. I think the thing that gives you concern is can their defensive line dominate a bad New England offensive line will? But I do think New England can run the football. I mean, the forty nine Ers are twenty one in yards per attempt, and this defense of the Patriots will create some problems for the San Francisco offense. I mean, look, they're not going to have Davos sweet Samuel again, They're not going to have McCaffrey. He's out right. Jennings is their best player. Maybe Kittle comes back, which they would need, But to me, I don't see this offense being able to just generate points at an easy pace against a good forty against a good Patriot defensive team. So I think the ten and a half, which it is this morning, maybe it goes to eleven or back. I think it's a good player. I don't think the Patriots win, but I think it's a lot of points against the team that's not playing nearly as well.

All right, one more quick one here, Michael deon sanders As was the last defensive player. Well, there's been two players that were defensive backs to win the Defensive Player of the Year since deoncein Is in nineteen ninety four. But Patsertans locking them down left and right acts Mike Evans x DK Metcalf. Unfortunately, the odds are one hundred to one because the voters don't value defensive backs that they should.

Michael, would you take this bet?

Uh?

No, I don't think I would take that bet. I think no, I don't think I'm going to.

Yeah, I think that's forth some piece of money.

They're going great, So I got you, you know, nothing like piece of money.

They undervalue the DVS man, they undervalue the DB's all right.

Coming up next, Just how hot is Mike McCarthy ce and is there any glimmer coke for this giant team? We're getting back into TNF
