Welcome to Make it Rain with Adam Shine on p sims these sports Betty himworks.

Ah, Yes, Monday, my dad, You're making rain with Adam Shane here on visit of my goodness. We have so much to do, Tolay. What a weekend in college basketball. The NCAA Tournament always delivers sports. You gotta love sports, sporty sports, sports, sports sports. I'm giddy. The games are amazing. We absolutely doubled up on our winnings. We'll get into our scorecard from what we hits and what we didn'ts. Really strong couple of days in the NCAA tournament based upon our picks for making rain with Adam Shine. We'll get into what was right and what was wrong and why we're pretty fired up.

We have so much to do, basically the entire show.

It's gonna be on college basketball wild action this weekend. Incredible, incredible stuff in the NCUBLEA Tournament. We'll sprinkle in a little baseball. This Mookie Bets virus is no good and we'll get into what that means from a Dodgers gambling perspective. The Giants are clueless at the quarterback position. We'll get into some Aaron Rodgers. We'll get into some women's college basketball, but listen, we need to start with a wild weekend and four specific games and stories from this weekend in the NC DOUBLEA Tournament.

And how about Maryland.

Beat in Colorado States at the buzzer? Are you kidding me? Buckle up, butter Cup the Queen. That was absolutely sensational, Derek Queen with that buzzer beater off glass to send the terms to the sweet sixteen.

And that was all sorts of awesome.

And let me tell you something right here, right now, if you think that was a travel, you are the absolute worst.

Okay, that was not a travel.

If you think that was a travel and that bucket shouldn't have counted A, you're not watching basketball over the last twenty years. B You're a joykill and I don't want to be around you. See, I mean, please, you know, get a grip and get a clue and understand. Maryland kind of earned this right in terms of finally being on the right side of history.

Maryland had had three games this year dan Essen's.

Lost at the buzzer, and it looked like it was going to be another one, and this was going to be one where they were going.

To go home.

I thought this Maryland Colorado State game was the game of the weekend in terms of action, in terms of drama, the only buzzer beater we've had so far in the NCAA tournament. And truth be told, when Jalen Lake hit that wide open three for Colorado States, they were down by two and then you saw what transpired and they were able to hit that shot Lake wide open, a rainbow hierarching shot like it was just a scene from Hoosiers. I mean, all that was missing was the cinematic music. And you know, the twelve seed, you don't have a double digit seed going to the sweet.

Sixteen to get a get you know, a little Cinderella keep going. I mean, you know, a.

Beautiful pass from the big man on the left side out to Lake throws the ball in the ocean.

I mean, the whole thing was absolutely phenomenal.

Then Kevin Willard calls the timeouts and he asked his team who wants the ball, and Derek Queen, the ultra talented freshman, said, you know, give me the MFN ball. And you know when I asked why, he said that is because I'm from Baltimore. I mean, that is unbelievable. And the Crab five, the starting five for Maryland was awesome. Angel Reese's brother was incredible. You know, Reese had a couple of monster rebounds down the stretch and you know the.

Bank was open.

And Queen is ridiculously talented, absolutely not a travel jeans sterotor nailed that on the CBS postgame show and you post it up. Able to dribble, dribble, fade away and go off glass.

The whole thing was beautiful.

Don't ruin a gorgeous moment, the moment so far the NCUBLEA Tournament Maryland is going on, and listen, this team is talented enough well coaching up.

They should be playing in the sweet sixteen.

That was an incredible, incredible victory for Kevin Willard and company.

That was awesome. Queen is highly entertaining.

Postgame, he asked why he likes playing for Kevin Willard and he said, well.

He gave me the money.

I mean, that's that's about as great as a gad so excellent stuff from Maryland and Colorado State. I thought that was obviously the game of the weekend and the game so far of the nc Double A tournament. How about Florida surviving Yukon of today, Well, frankly, I thought that Florida was outplayed by Yukon. I thought Yukon was unbelievable. And I know that people are all over Dan Hurley. Listen, Dan Hurley is a gem. And if you're mad at Dan Hurley, if you don't like Dan Hurley's because you're jealous of his success and Yukon success.

First of all, Yukon was able to cover.

The spread, right, And frankly, I did not think that was going to be the case. I did not think, and I loved Yukon to blast Oklahoma and cover that point spread, and they did. I mean, Yukon had won thirteen straight NCAA Tournament games. I mean truly as majestic as it gets. And you saw Clayton Junior just bomb a couple of threes, stop and pop. He was absolutely incredible. Florida was wound tight and you could tell Yukon. I mean, this is some of the best defense they played all year. You had Florida missing free throws. You know, this is a team that clearly kind of messed around, that came close to finding out and you know, I was so impressed with what Yukon was able to do. By the way, McNeely had a couple of rebounds in his hands that just flat out dropped them. And you know, if he would have been able to corral it, who knows what.

Could be talking about.

You know, Florida be eliminated in the NCAA tournament. But you know, I know a lot of people are making a big deal about Hurley and you know what he was saying to fans, and you know, I hope Baylor doesn't get a screwed like we did.

Listen.

I mean, Dan Hurley was also crying postgame. You know, he is wired, He's intense, He's an amazing coach. I had the Hall of Favorite Jim Beheim on a serious except radio show today and Beheim was awesome. He said, Dan Hurley's best coach coylege basketball right now, like it's not a multiple choice question. You have to applaud and appreciate this run. Bey I mentioned too, how about that play that Hurley designed at the end, caravan wide open three and he just missed. I mean, if anything, I mean this loss, even as a thirteen game winning streak comes to an end. You know, he's not going to be a three pede and the Soul has not been a back to back to back champ in the sixty four team era. Listen, even in a loss, Dan Hurley showed why he is absolutely incredible. And you know, Hurley with me on my Serious XM radio show last week, said, you know, you got a lot of jealous people, a lot of haters, a lot of people trying to make careers, you know, in the cesspool of social media and Twitter, trying to be Skip Bayless, you know, and listen, you know it's I think there's a lot of hater ad because there's a lot of jealousy. But I think Florida learned something. I think Florida will be great the rest of the way. I think they learned you have to take every single moment seriously. So Florida the ultimate survive in advance and just an appreciation here for this amazing run over the last two plus years for the Yukon Huskies. How about John Caliperry in Arkansas taking down a Rick Patino and Saint John's And this is one where I feel so happy for cali Peri after how it ended at at Kentucky and it was time for him to go. And sometimes it's just over at at a certain place. But I was so impressed with cali Peri's coaching and their tenacity. Frankly, as we spent all last week rightly thing about Rick Patino, I think Patino really needs to take a major hit in this one. And the fact that R. J. Lewis was benched for the final five minutes of this game. I know he was three for seventeen and he could have hit the broad side of a barn.

And I know he was zero of three from three.

I don't care if another player was stepping up and knocking down shouts for Saint John's, we could have a discussion about it.

But for him to bench the Big East.

Player of the year, his best player, all season, second team All American, man, I had a problem with that. I thought that Steve Lapiz and Andrew Catalog superb on the CBS broadcast, they were rightly all over it, and I thought it was pretty awesome. And you know, I thought Rick Patino completely screwed it up, absolutely screwed it up. Listen, I give flowers, I give praise Patino to me is I'm out rushmore head coach. I mean, think about this, how bad of a loss. This is every one and every two, every one seed, every two seed. We look at the Sweet sixteen, you see everyone seed in, every two seed in with the exception of Saint John's. That's how miserable a performance this was. I thought that Saint John's getting to the Elite eight was a pretty sure fire bet, and I thought Arkansas would come to play in this one, but I did not think that they would win this game. I mean, my goodness, I mean is clearly if you're a Saint John's fan, just makes you sick, I mean absolutely nauseating. And listen, would I have had a great opportunity to beat Texas Tech And you know, just really frustrating if you're a Saint John's fan. So look, I still think when it's all said and done, you know, Rick Patino had an excellent season this year, but no Saint John's fans feeling good today. I mean, and I think he fouled up, and I know the body language was bad, but yeah, you have to be able to go down swinging with the best on the floor. Vehemently disagree with Rick Patino and what transpired.

And look, I don't.

Want to sit here and call this the Duke Invitational, but this is still my pick to win it all. And I've stayed very consistent here. I'll make it right of Adam Shine. And you know, before the tournament started, you know we got Duke plus three eighty five to win the entire thing. And I want to stress right, you know, edge Vija Edgecombe from Baylor, He's gonna be an unbelievable pro Big twelve Freshman of the Year coach Drew Scott Drew won a championship, right, We guaranteed that Baylor was gonna win. We bet Baylor to win in the first round. This was a dairy er kicking. This was a lopsided affair. I think Proctor just hit another three. I mean that is incredible, seven of eight from three twenty five points, Absolutely sensational. Cooper Flagg was remarkable, I mean just incredible. When you take a look at the eighteen points and the nine rebounds on the six assists, and you know, this is Duke and this is who they are and this is what they do.

And take a look at the path and the.

Matchups here right when you look at the sweet sick and he looked at all the matchups and all the games. I think if you start looking at the one seed right and we'll get into what Arizona did to Oregon.

I'm genuinely stunned by that result.

You know, obviously, Caleb Loovan, who was at North Carolina, played against Duke a lot. I mean by use an eye story, and Duke is going to make mince meats out of everybody else.

In the East.

You know, I get Houston a lot of love, Tennessee and Kentucky a lot of love.

Duke's winning it all.

I think that is a really important takeaway that really slams home my point.

Cooper Flag looks healthy.

John Shires, and gem the Duke Blue Devils showed they will cut down the nets.

When it's all said and done.

Welcome back, Megan Rain without a Shine, And we got to give Kentucky some love. You know, Mark Pope, what he was able to do and accomplish this year with a totally new roster, taken over the team that he played for, the Kentucky Wildcats, It's pretty remarkable here. And you know, I think that Kentucky deserves a lot of credit. And listen, I thought that they would smoke Illinois. My trust level in Illinois was slim to non. I didn't even have Illinois winning a game in the NCAA tournament, and obviously I was wrong on that. But Kentucky played incredibly well and Kentucky deserved a lot of credit.

I cannot believe.

I mean the numbers, the odds on this one, that Illinois was a favorite. I vehemently disagreed with this, and I thought Kentucky was an amazing play. I mean, Kentucky beating Illinois. I mean I couldn't even under Illinois right underwards. Team was so jucklin Hyde, so up and down all year, their lows were so low. My trust in Illinois was slim to none. And Kentucky really has played excellent basketball. And you know this year they had a couple of impressive wins against Tennessee. And what do you know, We're gonna get Kentucky and Tennessee for the third time.

Now. It's not easy to beat a team three times. We all know that.

And obviously Kentucky won, as we mentioned both games this season. I will tell you, though, if you take a look at the Tennessee board with UCLA and what they were able to accomplish, Tennessee was able to really look the part against UCLA. And I I know, Rick Barnes, there is a checkered history when it comes to tournament success. Listen, I took three one seeds in Tennessee to make the final four, and I am staying with that it's not you know, it's not one of those where you watch these teams in the first couple of rounds and you're like, Ooh, I don't know about this pick, or I don't know about that pick.

Tennessee. I think it's the best team in their.

Side of the bracket, and you know, you take a look at the points spread on this one. I'm still not ready to make any place. You know, Frankly, I don't have I think Tennessee's winning the game, but I don't have anything sexy for you right now because Kentucky knows they can.

Play with Tennessee.

Mine lean, frankly would be on Tennessee laying the four and a half. But I am not in any way, shape or form ready to make that declaration. I do think that when you look at that bracket in that region and you take a look at the at the Midwest, I still maintain that Tennessee is the team to beat. I just, at the end of the day, don't think that Houston a special, Purdue is wait two hit or miss, and I know Kentucky's beating Tennessee twice. I just I think Tennessee is the better team. I know what the eyes tell you on the hit the head matchup, I just I'm surprised by both of those results and I would be so disappointed in Tennessee if they game, and I don't think that's going to be the case. Now I reference Houston. I gotta give Houston credit. Now, Gonzaga covered the spread, and that was the one of the two best bets from Friday's sizzling edition of Making Rain with Adam Shine.

Gonzaga was so close. First half was awful.

Frankly, first twenty five thirty minutes of action for Gonzaga was awful. Listen, they were able to cover, and that's wonderful and for our purposes on what we do want to make it Ray with Adam Shine, that's great. This was the only one seat I picked against to make the Final four, and I did pick Gonzaga to win this game, but so close, no cigar. If Gonzaga was, you know, the seat that they earned during the course of the regular season matchup, wise, they would have been able to take care of business. But obviously, if that sounds like sour grape, so on my part, it is that turned out not to be the case, you know, being fair for the vast majority. Houston looked great. Then they started to show some war saying, man, I'm sad for Gonzaga. I'm happy for Gonzaga. Better is like me sad for Gonzaga. Though I thought they would be able to beat Houston, I thought they'd be able to be Purdue, and I thought that they would set up a great matchup going up against Tennessee and the elite aid so close, No cigar, I had to exert a lot of energy, had a chance to top the game, mister shot and the rest, unfortunately for future Hall of Famer Mark Few is history. How about Michigan State, I thought that was pretty much an ultimate surviving advance as well. You know, New Mexico and Richard Pertino's team outplayed Tom Izzo's squad for the first twenty thirty minutes of action and then vintage Michigan State. The defense was was really tenacious. They were able to clamp down on defense and take care of business and score some some good looking buckets on on the opposite side. And listen, I was really impressed with what Sparti was able to do late and look, this is a team. They don't shoot the lights out, obviously, and you have to you have to look at Michigan State and do wonder a loud if they can actually get to the final four. I know we're in the month of is Oh, but the way they were able to survive and put the clamps on a new Mexico team that was supremely confident, I thought that was a big deal here for Michigan State and vintage tom Izzo.

In every possible way. Hey, let's give All Miss some love.

I think that Chris Beard deserves a lot of credit, and obviously he's a hell of a coach. You know, I still stand by my points. When you know I've been wrong on All Miss throughout this tournament, I just want to say that, right. I thought that UNC would win a close game on on Friday, and UNC roared all the way back. But Chris Beard's team was able to put the clamps on, and I thought the All Miss Carolina winner.

Would go to the Sweet sixteen.

Listen, Iowa State fraud team, absolute fraud team, and then they had to deal with an injury. I mean this was a kicking right. Iowa stay five and a half point favorite, and if you had an All Miss ticket on the money line, a plus one ninety five. That's a nice job by you. Ole Miss is tough, All Miss is physical. All Miss has an incredible ability to get it done. They deserve a lot of love. And you know, if you look at all Miss and you know Michigan State coming up, I mean that that's gonna be a rock fight. Man. That's that's gonna be a lot of fun. And I'll tell you I would not be shocked to see Ole Miss keep the good times rolling. You know, conventional wisdom month of isoh, it's all about sparty. Some people might say, Okay, all Miss is is you know, a little bit of you know, flash of the pan and all right, they've had. These wins have been impressive, you know what I think of Carolina and then to beat Iowa State the way that they did, I think that's going to be a genuine pick them. And come down to the wire with All Miss coming up against Michigan State, Auburn crunch crighton. Michigan's up next, and let's give some love here to Auburn. I thought this was going to be a bit funky in terms of the points I had the lean you heard me say it on on Creighton grabbing the eight and a half nine and a half where it was when we talked about it on Friday Sizzling Edition, and make it rain without them shine Auburn's loading, Bruce Pearl's team played excellent. This Auburn and Michigan matchup is going to be a lot of fun. It's going to be intense. Michigan able to take care of business. You heard me say Michigan money line against Texas A and m I mean I could not believe that the point spread had Michigan as a dog in this one. I mean the Michigan disrespect and betting in favor of that pro Michigan has really been beneficial to me over the first couple of rounds in the NCAA tournament.

I'm really I think Michigan's going to be able to hang.

I'm just telling you right now, I'm not betting on it yet, so I'm gonna have to take a breath go through all the matchups. But I would be prized if Michigan got run. I would be genuinely surprised if if Michigan at an eight and a half point spread against Auburn, I would be surprised if Michigan got run out of the arena going up against Auburn. That was a brutal Oregon loss, absolutely brutal. I don't want to hear that. You know, Caleb Love is great in Arizona. No, No, that was that was awful. Dan Altman's team is an Altman's a superb coach and they're so so tough, and they're excellent, And I honestly, if I'm an Oregon fan, I'm sick, absolutely sick. I thought that game was over when Oregon took a big lead. Listen, this was, you know, like an old Pac twelve game of Bill Walton special game going through the wee hours of the morning, taking forever. Congrats to Arizona, sure, but that to me was more about Oregon choking like dogs. And how about BYU holding off Wisconsin Alabama coming up next. BYU has played brilliant, Paul and I liked BYU all year. You know, I had a couple of bets his best bets on BYU during the course of the season. I could not have been more wrong on BYU during this tournament. I've had a lot of great plays, you know, BYU. I did not bet any of the BYU games, but I thought that VCU would beat them. I thought Wisconsin would beat them. Their defense was suffocating. In the first game, offense was awesome against Wisconsin. Wisconsin tried to crawl back and win BYU versus Bama coming up in the Sweet sixteen. Oh Baby, buckle up, butter Cup. That's gonna be all sorts of fun.

Welcome back, making.

Right to that Adam Shot joining us right now live with the progressive guest line, my guy Kobe Danty, host of the College Experience podcast, nice enough to join us. Koby, I gotta tell you, I loved all the action this weekend in college basketball. I know people are going not so not enough Cinderella's Please. I know you're back from Vegas. You're loving the action Like I'm loving the action. I am obsessed with the NCAA tournament, what we witnessed this weekend, and also what lies ahead.

Yeah, one hundred percent, it's great to see you.

And uh yeah, I was not complaining despite I feel like all of Twitter complaining that it went chalky. I mean, yes, it's nice to get an upset here or there, but it was a pretty chalky weekend set back at Stadium, swim there and at Circle. If you haven't been, folks, you gotta go. But yeah, to me, like we've had chalky years before. I know a lot of people are panicking saying the nil is the reason why it was chalky these now, you're never gonna have small schools. I mean, we did have a D two school basically that Drake recruited beat Missouri out of the Mighty SEC, so I to pump the brakes a little bit. Also, if you want to take it one step further, BYU and Houston are two years removed from being a mid major, So you know, I think we've had chalk years before.

We just need to relax and appreciate the games.

I'm with you completely. I thought it was an incredible weekend. I thought the games were great. I thought that BYU Wisconsin was great, Houston Gonzaga was great. I thought Maryland Colorado State was epic. I loved Florida. I was into Arkansas Saint John's. I mean, the whole weekend was terrific. So we're rights. Everyone else is wrong, and Kolby, let's start getting into some of these games here in matchups from a petting perspective for the Sweet sixteen BYU Alabama, I gotta tell you, BYU has really impressed me, and I've picked against them the first couple of rounds and I've been wrong their defense, their offense. I just don't trust Alabama big picture. What's your early read on BYU Bama.

Yeah, I actually think this is kind of the most fascinating game.

On that Thursday.

Now, I mean, I liked some of the other plays better as from from a gambling point of view, but this one, you know, Alabama's one that I'm a skeptic on as well. I thought, you know, last season's Final four run was impressive, but I also thought a lot of it was because the bracket they resided in, and BYU is.

A team much much like you.

That has made me look like a fool a little bit because you know, and I know they made a they changed up their starting lineup, but I think it was in January putting another big in there, and ever since they've done that, they've been fantastic, with the exception of that Houston game. But I mean, I tend to think I should take BUYU in the points because I actually think one of the things that stood out to me yesterday with Saint Mary's in Alabama was Saint Mary's lacked the athletes.

I think BYU actually has the.

Big athletes that actually could keep them in this game. Kaita the big man, you know that that guy. I feel like it's been a force as the season has.

Gone along more and more. So I'm gonna take the points.

I think in this matchup, But I'm kind of fascinating if BYU wants to play at the fast pace that Alabama to traditionally sets the tone, that would be one thing that would scare me a little bit, as if don't try to play Alabama's game too much. But I do think they have multiple guys that can score the ball. You know, Kevin Young coming over from the NBA. They've done a lot of things I think to really you know, now, a lot of times you see the NBA coaches fail coming down to college. This is an example of it working. And you know, they've got great ball movement. To me that they always find a way to exploit the opposing team's weakness during this stretch, So credit to them.

Listen, sixty five percent of the bets right now, if you go to Visa dot COM's last splits, sixty five percent of the bets are for Alabama going to cover the four and a half. My lean is with you on BYU plus four and a half, So right now we are absolutely on the same page. Maryland Florida fascinates the hell out of me. In eighty one percent of the bets are plays for Florida to cover. Look I thought Yukon outplayed Florida. I thought Florida and I was dead wrong on this one. I thought Florida would win by double digits. I thought their depth and talent and coaching would dominate. I knew I was wrong kolby early when they were missing free throws and they were completely wound tied. I'm gonna wager a guess, literally, and I'll bet on this one that Florida learned something from the Yukon game and they'll be able to cover the six and a half point spread.

Yeah, I mean, I love this play here. I'm sorry I got a dog bark to the background there, but I love this play. And one of the things that stood out to me on the game, you know Yukon, was I was convinced the Yukon was the better team yesterday. They just somehow lost the game. They outplayed them for forty minutes. It's just Walter Clayton Junior made a couple ridiculously hard shots and that was the difference in the game. I think Florida can actually, I think it's if you're a Florida Gator fan, that was the best possible thing that could have happened.

To you, Maryland.

On the other side, you could argue they got fortunate to be there. They were down the whole game too. But I just have a lot of problems. First off, they have a short rotation, and when you're playing Florida, I think they can exploit that. Florida's got so many different guys that can score the ball. But another thing is I just don't I'm not a big fan of Kevin Willard in big spotlights. Even yesterday's game, I thought they got out played and I think their team is much better than Colorado State's team. So what I love Florida in this spot I think it's one of the best things.

Me and you were all over Florida in the SEC tournament.

We think they're a team that could win the national championship potentially. You love seeing a game like this, and I'll bring it back to Florida winning a championship in the two thousands.

They almost lost to Butler. I think it was an five and that was.

The reality check game, and then they went on that magical run and won the chanceampionship there.

This is kind of what they needed in a way.

I think I agree with you and listen, I think Florida will be able to cover, and I think Duke's gonna cover. And listen, I can't believe Arizona's here. That's what I got wrong. I was ready to cash that baby with Oregon. I thought they were gonna take care of business, and they jumped out to that lead.

Look, I picked Duke to.

Beat Florida before this started, and I'm gonna stay with Duke to beat Florida, you know, nine and a half. I mean the way Dukes play, the way Cooper Flag looks. Kobe, what's your take on Arizona and Duke.

Yeah, I mean I took Baylor by the way I thought Baylor would. Actually, I thought they were getting healthier at the right time of the year. I thought they could stay in that game. And boy was I wrong. Boy was I wrong. Arizona, to me, got very fortunate to beat Oregon. I thought they looked very, you know, unorganized. Towards the end of that game, they had a three on one that they somehow squandered and then gave up a three on the other side of the ball, struggles inbounding the ball.

It's been a fun run, Tommy Lloyd. You got to the Sweet.

Sixteen but this Duke team continues to impress me. I know the ACC hasn't been great, but dominating performances every time you tune into a duke game.

I'm done.

I'm done taking the I thought Scott Drew might have a little bit of the moxie. I'm done. Lay it with the Blue Devils. With the way they're playing right now.

I am fascinated by Arkansas and Texas Tech. Can John Calipari do it again?

Coby Oh?

I mean, what a great game plan by the way I mean, I thought, I you know, I would have I would have taken you know, some action on Patino out coaching. Calipari was the other way around of surprised Patino never went to the zone.

Was surprise great? Some great play.

Design by Calipari when they were in scoring droughts at a timeouts.

I do think though it is a bad matchup for them.

I think Texas Tech will adjust defensively. I don't think that because they were beating Saint John's off the dribble, especially like the first ten minutes of the second half. I don't think they're gonna have that luxury against Texas Tech. Grant McCaslin very good defensive coach. Go back to his days at North Texas or his days as an assistant with Scott Drew. I think he's gonna he's gonna find they'll go to that zone that they you know, Arkansas looked really bad against Kansas when they went to that zone. That's why it was shocking that Patino didn't, even though I know he's a man de man guy. I think I think that's gonna come out of this.

They're gonna go to that zone. Arkansas can't shoot.

I like laying the five and a half with the Red Raiders here, but fascinated by the matchup. Hopefully you get McMillan plays, you know, because that Texas Tech's been dinged up all towards the end of the end of the season here.

Without question, all right, what you're leaning on Kentucky Tennessee. I really like Rick Barnes's team. Kentucky's knocked off Tennessee twice in the regular season. I'm kind of leaning on Kentucky. Excuse me, I'm kind of leaning on Tennessee. Laying the four and a half. What are you looking at with Tennessee and Kentucky?

Yeah, you have the Lucas Oil state him not far from from both.

These fan bases.

I'm going I'm with you too, I'm coming to We're agreeing on a lot of things here. But I think Rick Barnes, I know he has tournament failures over the years, but Kentucky's been a good story. But I think third times of charm. I think I think the balls get it done with their experience.

Colby, You're the best. I love chopping up with you. I love your podcast. I love follow you on Twitter during all the action. Keep up the great work and we'll chop it up again real too.

Let's start the final segment, News Notes Nuggets Nightly plays with some news that is kind of alarming on Mookie Bets, as we are just a couple of days away from the start of the Major League Baseball season in the United States. Obviously, the Dodgers and the Cubbies played a couple of games last week in Tokyo, and the conventional wisdom was, as Mookie Betts did not play in those games, that he'd be ready to rock and roll when the Dodgers get their rings and he'll face Schooball and the Tigers on Thursday night. And listen, this is this is not good. But Mookie talked to the press yesterday, and you know, he's lost nearly twenty pounds since he began feeling ill right before the team left for Tokyo. And if you looked at him on camera, his face looks thin, and he looks relatively gaunt and you know, this, to me is one of the best all around players in baseball, one of the true winners in sports. And I mean, this is a deal, right. I mean, I'm not gonna sit here quite yet. And you know, I tell you I'm going to change my over under for the Dodgers or my pick when we lock everything in. You know, I'm already on record saying over one hundred and three and a half and Dodgers win the National League and Dodgers win the World Series. But this is officially concerning I'm nervous for Mookie Betts. I mean, the plan was he was gonna play some shortstop on Sunday against the Angels, and that wasn't the case. He was throwing up hours before the game. So I just hope Mookie's okay. I don't know if this is a long stomach virus or if it's some kind of you know, really deep seated illness and he just can't keep food down. So you know, hopeful that Mookie's okay, but you know, obviously want him to be okay. And then on the diamond coming up for the Dodgers and what should be another banner season for La Dodgers, baseball. Look, we obviously keep scoring on everything, and we always have fun when we win and when we lose, and right now, it's been kind of fun winning so far in March Madness.

And you've been.

Following along on Making Rain with Adam shining on Vson dot com with our picks and eight and three so far, not including the one and one on the playing games. We had Carolina and we had Texas. One was phenomenally that there was a bad beat. But take a look at these babies, and honestly, I don't regret Yale.

I don't regret Vcu.

I do regret Liberty based upon obviously who Dana Altman is. But right now, I mean, take a look at what we've been able to hit so far.

And you know that baalor.

Money line pick, and we've been successful with some dogs now in terms of Gonzaga with the points and Arkansas being able to take care of business and that was a great play. And you know, we've had a lot of success with Michigan. You know, Michigan obviously one by three, so that one counts, and Michigan Texas A and m money line in addition to the points and Baylor money line taking care of business as well before they got spanked and smoked going up against Duke. So we'll try and stay hot throughout the course of the rest of the NCAA tournament. Gave you some leans earlier for the Sweet sixteen. We'll lock in our picks, you know, Wednesday or Thursday on Making Rain with Adam Shine.

You know, kind of have to.

Decompress a little bit, take a breath, you know, everyone is always so emotional. Obviously, some of these lines are are a little wacky and wild, as we talked about with Kobe earlier.

So try and stay hot.

Eight and three so far making Rain with Adam Shine here in March madness. So we're staying very consistent with Duke to win a championship. We're not making any other plays, not hedging any bets. Duke is still the favorite to win it all at plus two thirty Florida plus three hundred, Auburn plus five hundred. Frankly, Duke was clearly the best team that we've seen, not even up for discussion. We got Duke before the tournament started a plus three nineties. So feeling pretty great right now about Duke. How about the coach at carousel which continues to spin. Texas fired Rodney Terry, which he said they had to Sean Miller. He would have gotten the job if Frodley Hood didn't make that random elite eighth run when they had to fire Chris Beard a few years ago. Sean Miller is now the Texas coach. And obviously, you know this is a guy in Sean Miller, who's a fabulous coach. He got thrown out of Arizona because of you know, obviously illegal activities, and then he goes to Xavier again, turns that program around again.

Listen, Sean Miller is going to be dynamite in Texas.

He's a fabulous coach, he's a winner, and now with legal nil he's going to be able to take care of business. Will Wade goes to NC State, no surprise, and that's an excellent move as well. Ben McCollum going from D two one year at Drake goes to Iowa. I thought that was a sensational, sensational hire.

How about the NFL Draft?

One week from today, cam Ward had his pro day and listen, I think he should just get fitted right now for Tennessee Titans Jersey. I mean let's be honest here. And you know he was caught talking to some Titans, you know, members of the brass today at his pro day. You know, if you look at the odds, the number one pick her Toesive our good friends over at DraftKings. I mean, this is where conventional wisdom is right now. Even if Tennessee somehow trades the pick, and if they do, all the new newbies in the front office should be fired before they even play a game. Cam Ward's going number one. Cam Ward is going to the Tennessee Titans. I don't think that there is any dubta about that in any way, shape or form. I also think that when you look at, you know, the Aaron Rodgers news with regards to everything going on with the Pittsburgh Steelers, you know, everyone's still waiting to see where Rogers is going to sign. And you know, obviously that is causing a lot of consternation in Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh needs to either sign Aaron Rodgers or and Orge Raft Jackson, Darter Shador Sanders. The Giant signed Jamis Winston after we signed off the air on on Friday. Jamis Winston, I don't want to hear that he's exciting Jameis Winston. All he does is throw incompletions, interceptions, pick sixes.

If that's the Giant's plan.

That everyone should just hand in their resignation notice before the season starts. Lakers lost on Saturday and Lebron James's return, and they lost in inexplicable fashion against the Chicago Bulls. Lakers take on the magic tonight and they need to make their losing ways disappear. That needs to be the magic act for this evening. Seventy nine percent of the bets placed for the Lakers to cover.

At minus three and a half.

You see right here, it's it's minus four and I think that you know, eighty six percent of the bets being placed at the Lakers money line. That's an excellent play. Go to Viison dot com for more splits. Pacers Timberwolves tonight. Sixty three percent of the bets placed for the Timberwolves to cover at plus two.

And a half.

Honestly, they're way too many injuries, key players in and out of the lineup. I like the Lakers tonight, I would not this game fascinates me. I would not place a bets on the Timberwolves and the Indiana Pacers, and we have the Bucks and the Suns tonight. That's a really funky line as well. Fifty five percent of the bets placed are for the Bucks to cover the two and a half point spread, eighty percent of the bets are placed for the total to go over to twenty three and a half. Fifty three percent of the bets are placed on the Suns on the money line. I do not have a play on this one. I am interested in the results. I'll be watching with great interest to see what KD and company can do.
