I came to win, to survive, to prosper, to rise.” You know, when I applied to Howard University I did not get in. I did not get accepted. Now, I could have used that “nay” as an opportunity to give up and walk away. However, I turned my “nay” into a “yay” by appealing their decision and I got accepted. Not only did I get accepted, but I also graduated with honors and hosted my graduation. How’s that for being a winner?

See, we are all winners. The moment you were conceived you were chosen to be a winner. There could have been millions of other beings that could have taken your place, but it was you that was chosen.
