It was the 7th Annual 'Golf For Julia' fundraiser Golf Tourney at Sunset Ranch. The day was FULL of fun, food, fun drinks and hilarious challenges, followed by a delicious dinner at Sunset Ranch, as I was fortunate enough to be the MC for this. I HAD SO MUCH FUN! And my dad played in our foursome, and was once again the best golfer we had on our 'best ball 'team.

Backstory: Julia Grassmick has been on a long road to recover, while she courageously learns how to walk again, after a spinal injury left her paralyzed at only 17 months old. More at golfforjulia.com

We are excited to share that $25,000 was raised on Sunday for Julia and we couldn't have done it without you. It was such a pleasure having you all play golf and emcee the dinner and we hope you enjoyed the day as much as we did! Thank you so much for donating your time to our family.

JAM PACKED!!! What a great day we have planned... 

REGISTRATION @ 11:30 AM, SHOTGUN START @ 12:30 PM

5:00pm            Bar to open, some dinner-only guests will start arriving; slideshow will be playing on the screen, on a loop

5:30pm            Golfers start to trickle in, play music in background

5:45pm            Once 50 golfers Once roughly 50 golfers are in, dinner buffet to open; BMack to talk about auction and highlight some of the larger items etc, guests to visit buffet

6:30pm            Guests urged to find their seats - BMack to do welcome & encourage auction bidding, promote 50/50 tickets and raffle tickets before draw (we will cut off ticket sales at 8pm sharp

7:00pm            Putting Contest finals/winner announcement – give prize to winner (beer fridge full of beer)

7:20pm            Melissa and Ryan to speak (and Julia if she wants to)

7:30pm            Video to be played (10mins) (with sound) – then go back to slideshow on a loop throughout the remainder of the event

7:45pm            Guest speaker Michael Coss – 5-10 mins max

8:00pm            Golf prizes:

1st place golf team – highest score – sponsored by Sunset Ranch Golf Club – prize is a foursome here at Sunset, valued at over $400

2nd place golf team – 2nd highest score – sponsored by West Kelowna Boston Pizza – prize is a free pizza and soft drink for each golfer on the team
