The Victorian Government offers many opportunities and support for older people and their families living in Victoria.

This year’s Victorian Seniors Festival in October, features live events across Victoria that celebrate the diverse contributions of people aged over 60, of which there are more than one million who call Victoria home.

The Victorian Seniors Festival is a chance for older people to connect, have fun and improve their health and wellbeing.

You can go to events in the city or in the community. Contact your council about local events planned for your area.

To make it easier to attend events, Victorian Seniors Card holders can use public transport for free from 1st to the 8th of October – including V/Line train and regional travel.

To begin the festivities, join the fun at Celebration Day at Federation Square in the heart of Melbourne on Sunday 1 October. The day also marks International Day of Older Persons, so you can expect a celebration with live performances from wonderful senior performers, active living demonstrations and information sessions.
