The Grand Final review edition of For the Love of the Game has a purple flavour to it as Collegians won their 18th A-Grade title over St Kevin's by 85 points. We are closing in on the William Buck Premier Grand Final. Collegians will face off against St Kevin's for the third time in 5 years for the ultimate prize. Twice it's fallen the way of St Kevin's, can the Lions find redemption on the final day of the season? Hear from Old Camberwell coach Anson Brownless in the lead-up to their Grand Final in Premier C against Old Ivanhoe. The Wellers have done the double climb to elevate themselves into Premier B in 2024. 

The William Buck Premier finals series kicked off with a bang on Saturday. Collegians trailed by 4 goals at the 20 minute mark of the final quarter before producing a stirring comeback to advance to the Grand Final. In Premier B, Beaumaris ended in a draw with De La Salle going onto win in extra time thanks to five-goals from Joel Cusack who joined Joey Pignataro and Josh Heriot in this edition.

Old Melburnians will remain in William Buck Premier in 2024 after finishing the season in eighth spot on the ladder, a mere 1.62% ahead of Old Haileybury who will feel heartbroken to be heading back to Premier B next year. We are on the eve of the finals for the Divisions this weekend, while in the Premier sections it's the final round of the home and away season. Will Old Melburnians or Old Haileybury survive the final round and remain in the VAFA's top-flight in 2024?

With a fortnight to go in the Premier section, Caulfield Grammarians know their fate and heading to Premier B in 2024. Reserves coach Jono Nash joins Joey and Josh in the studio to discuss how the season has played out for the Fields, as well as dealing with being forced to forfeit on more than one occasion this year.  Plus, it's the final home and away round for the Divisions, how will the final four finish up come 5pm this Saturday, and a look ahead to the modern-day rivalry that headlines William Buck Premier this weekend. 

It's taken 16 weeks to see the best of the Old Xaverians but it was on show from the opening moments on Saturday as they triumphed over the Uni Blues by 25 points. The victory has dropped the Blues from 2nd to 4th and there's a very small pulse in the life of Old Brighton to make one last surge.  Old Melburnians and Old Haileybury are neck and neck when it comes to avoiding relegation. It's all on the line with a fortnight to go. 

After 14 straight weeks of going into quarter time trailing, the Old Melburnians finally came into the quarter time huddle ahead in the contest. Michael Holland joins Joey and Joshy to talk through the win, and the return performance of 2022 Woodrow Medallist Gus Borthwick. Plus, Collegians have had a slip up, St Kevin's are starting to hum and when SKOB hum, the competition must take notice. Around the Grounds the top fours are starting to take shape in all other sections, and we pay credit to the Eley Park Sharks after their first win in 427 days.
