 The Police Ministry held a Ministerial Crime Prevention Imbizo in Westbury this morning. Residents had an opportunity to engage with the Minister of Police Bheki Cele , the SAPS and Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi. Meanwhile, Police Minister Bheki Cele has deployed a specialised task force to Westbury in Johannesburg for the next 3 months, in an attempt to combat gang violence and the recent increase in crime. This follows a spate of gang related shooting incidents over the last few weeks, which resulted in several people being killed and many more wounded. The Acting National Commissioner of SAPS, Lieutenant General Puleng Dimpane, says police will leave no stone unturned to identify and arrest those responsible for the deaths of women in Gauteng. This follows the discovery of a fifth body today. Dimpane has also extended condolences to the family of 38-year-old Elizabeth “Tsontso” Moselakgomo, whose remains were positively identified at the Germiston mortuary. One suspect remains in custody in connection with the first body discovered in July.  Sakina Kamwendo spoke to the family spokesperson for missing runner Elizabeth Moselagomo, Dawn Gounden, who is also attached to Renegades Search and Rescue.
