Oil prices have surged, pushing oil prices back above $100 per barrel today after US-Iran peace talks collapsed and Donald Trump announced a blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. Negotiations in Islamabad broke down with the US delegation blaming Iran's nuclear stance while Tehran accused Washington of shifting demands. The US military enforces a blockade on traffic to and from Iranian ports from today. Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has vowed to retaliate.
