Hawks Head, General Godfrey Lebeya says operations are underway to clamp down on the rise in cases of kidnapping for ransom in South Africa. Speaking members of the media during an update on the unit's activities for the fourth quarter of the 2024/2025 financial year, Lebeya said a total of 24 kidnapping for ransom cases had been reported to the period in question.
