The Tshwane metro police department in Gauteng is appealing to motorists to record the names and details of its officers during interactions with them, following a string of harassment incidents. Recently two officers were questioned in Diepsloot for working outside their jurisdiction in a private car. The city has come under the spotlight following allegations that it employed more than 200 officers with criminal records during the first phase of in-sourcing in 2020.
