The National Prosecution Authority's Asset Forfeiture Unit has frozen a luxury property belonging to Judge Portia Dipuo Phahlane valued at six million rand. The property in Hartbeespoort is alleged to have been acquired through the proceeds of unlawful activities, including corruption and money laundering. Judge Phahlane, who is currently out on bail, is facing allegations of accepting a two-million rand bribe in exchange for delivering a favorable judgment in the succession case of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church.
