The Alexandra Magistrates Court in Johannesburg has heard that 21-year-old student Bafana Mahungela was not informed of his rights and was not handed a search warrant upon his arrest last month. Mahungela is continuing his bail application after he was arrested for the alleged premeditated murder and rape of Johannesburg teacher Kirsten Kluyts. The 34-year-old Delta Park High School English teacher was murdered while taking part in a local sporting event in October.
