The Gauteng Health Department has confirmed that a mother and her son from Alexandra township, north of Johannesburg, are in stable condition at the Edenvale Hospital, following a suspected foodborne illness. Regrettably her 10-year old daughter died after she was taken to the nearest clinic on Saturday night. Police struggled to control the situation as furious community members wanted to destroy the spaza shop, where they bought food. Monique Lewis reports …
