Student organization's at the North West University, Mahikeng Campus are embarking on a donation drive for the defunded students. The campaign, called "fund the defunded" seeks to help students that are reportedly defunded by NSFAS. The donation seeks to solicit needs like food and toiletries for students who are said to be wrongfully defunded. While the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) says processes are under way to withdraw funds from undeserving students, some of those defunded at the North West University says it is not true that they do not qualify.
