South Africa's Corruption Perceptions Index score stagnant at 41

Transparency International's 2025 Corruption Perceptions Index paints a grim picture of South Africa's performance. South Africa's score stays stagnant at 41 out of 100, unchanged from 2024 and below the global average.  The anti-corruption movement Transparency International (TI) today released its 2025 Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI), highlighting worsening corruption and a decline in leadership globally. The picture in South Africa is equally discouraging, showing little to no progress in the last three years. Lebogang Ramafoko, Executive Director at Corruption Watch, explains
