The South African Weather Service has issued a number of rain warnings for parts of the country, including an orange level 5 weather warning that might affect parts of Gauteng. Earlier this week, government said it may call the national police and defence force to help to respond the flooding caused by heavy rains in some parts of the country. The South African Weather Service has identified the La Nina weather phenomenon as the cause of the current heavy rains. Sebenza Nkambule spoke to South African Weather Service, Lehlohonolo Thobela.
