View descriptionShare

Moroka police together with JMPD members are monitoring the situation at White City-Jabavu, in Soweto following allegations of shops being closed. This comes after some residents are reportedly moving around the township shutting down all spaza-shops owned by foreign nationals, following an alleged assault and shooting of a 21-year-old man who had gone to the spaza store to buy some stuff. Gauteng police spokesperson Colonel Noxolo Kweza says police have arrested one suspect following a shooting incident. For more on this matter we're now joined on the line by Ward 37 Councillor Papi Chetsang
