Fleet Company Afrirent has suspended services to the City of Johannesburg due to an unpaid debt of over 90 million rand. The suspension affects more than 4,000 vehicles, including those used by the Johannesburg Metro Police Department and PikitUp. ActionSA in Johannesburg says the suspension affects public safety and Joburg Water services, sparking concerns about road safety and the water crisis during the festive season.
