The SABC is currently appearing before the Standing Committee on Public Accounts (SCOPA) to presents its annual report and financial statements for the financial year 2021/22. The committee is hearing the progress made by the SABC on investigations, issues of irregular expenditure and financial accountability. Member of the Standing Committee on Public Accounts, Bheki Hadebe, says for the past 5 years the organisation has been failing to deal with the issue of irregular expenditure. He asked what progress has been made and is the organistaion satisfied that in the next financial year it will be able to disclose all instances of irregular expenditures. The SABC's Chief Financial Officer, Yolande van Biljon has been answering questions from members of SCOPA
