SA Human Rights Commission heads to Constitutional Court to appeal earlier Supreme Court of Appeal judgment on SAHRC recommendations

The South African Human Rights Commission has turned to the Constitutional Court to appeal a Supreme Court of Appeal judgment. The contested ruling states that SAHRC recommendations are not binding, and can only be enforced by a court of law.  The SAHRC argues that if not challenged, the ruling will render the Chapter 9 body useless.
