Update@NoonRustenburg Local Municipality in North-West remains idle
There has been no progress at the controversial Rustenburg Local Municipality in North-West to resolve the stand-off between the ruling ANC and opposition parties. Following the day-long debates yesterday, on the legitimacy of several executive positions, the discussions where thrown into turmoil when the ANC Mayor, Chief Whip and Speaker decided to resign. The ANC says they mandated them to resign to avoid a tedious legal battle with the opposition. This is after the EFF and the DA threatened to approach the courts. Dyaell Gaetsewe reports...
