Delegates from across Africa have gathered at Rhodes University in Makhanda for a two-day symposium marking 40 years since the death of Mozambique's founding president, Samora Machel. Under the theme Aluta Continua: Samora Machel, Liberation Movements and the Unfinished Decolonial Project, The symposium by Rhodes University brings together the Machel family, liberation veterans, scholars, artists and young people to reflect on Africa's unfinished liberation journey and decolonial future.
