Former Vhavenda king, Prince Toni Mphephu Ramabulana has told the High Court in Polokwane, Limpopo, that Princess Masindi Mphephu is not eligible to ascend the throne as she is born of a prince and not a king. Prince Toni Mphephu Ramabulana has said that Princess Masindi Mphephu was born before her father, Tshimangadzo Dimbanyika Mphephu, was coronated. Dimbanyika Mphephu died in a car crash in 1998.
