President Cyril Ramaphosa's face-to-face interview with the SABC has been cancelled due to him suffering from an eye infection. The president was expected to reflect on the formations of the Government of National Unity post the recent national and provincial elections. Ramaphosa was also expected to reflect on a range of issues, including the sharing of cabinet positions within government with opposing political parties. One of the key critical bones of contention within the GNU is the synergy is policy formulation on matters such as affirmative action, the National Health Insurance Fund and the contagious Bella Bill, amongst many other issues.
