Parliament has refuted claims by National Coloured Congress leader and MP Fadiel Adams that his parliamentary-issued laptop had been malfunctioning for about 18 months. Adams told the Madlanga Commission that technical problems with the device caused him to miss crucial information and contributed to the late submission of his statement. However, Parliament spokesperson Moloto Mothapo says its ICT service desk records show no evidence of persistent laptop problems, repeated hardware failures or freezing. He says the records also show that the device was not repeatedly booked in for repairs. Moloto Mothapo is National Assembly spokesperson.
