The Lootsberg pass on the N9 between Graaff Reinet and Middleburg in the Eastern Cape is now closed to traffic due to snowfall.  Snow is falling over a number of high lying areas of the Eastern Cape and traffic authorities are also keeping a close eye on the Wapadsberg Pass on the R61 between Nxuba and Graaff-Reinet.  The cold snap is expected to persist for the next few days.
