A contingent of medical staff from the North West has been deployed to assist the humanitarian organisation, Gift of the Givers, with search and rescue efforts in Türkiye. The team flew to Türkiye on Tuesday and has since arrived. Their journey follows a devastating earthquake on Monday morning, affecting both Türkiye and Syria. More than eight-thousand have been confirmed dead while thousands more are injured and missing.
