More than 50 people have left their spouses, children, jobs and even stopped taking chronic medication to become part of Ekhaya Labafundi bakaJehova - a congregation at KwaMaphumulo north of Durban - to dedicate their lives entirely to serving Christ. Congregants came from across the country, to live full-time on the property. They do not leave the church to socialise in the outside world, as they call it. They also do not go to clinics and hospitals - saying it goes against their faith. The community describes itself as an independent kingdom, operating separately from what they call the normal world, SABC reporter Celumusa Zulu reports
